Sometimes it can be reassuring to hear about the experience of others. Here is a quick sample of some of our favorite patients

I think every woman should go to see Dr. Debbie. You get heat, an adjustment and 20 minutes for yourself! It is heaven!!!!! You walk out feeling like a million dollars.

My son had chronic bowel issues and Dr. Debbie adjusted him and using a technique called kinesiology... determined a course of supplements to help him. He no longer complains of stomach aches.
- A very happy client
The first day I walked into Dr. Leveen's office, she gave me a very warm and friendly welcome. She explained everything to me in a professional manner. She had me feeling much better in a few weeks. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a Chiropractor.

In November of 2003, I suffered a back injury while "boosting" a patient at Cape Cod Hospital. I am an RN, trained in body mechanics, and lifting procedures, but was unprepared for the downward force exerted by my patient when he attempted to "help" me by pushing his shoulders down into the bed, just as I and my aide started to lift. I felt someting move in my lower back, and I lost all strength, practically toppling onto my patient. By the end of my shift, I could barely walk, sit or stand without burning pain. The first attemps to ease my discomfort, rest & ice, did nothing. Next the doctor ordered xrays, then CT scans, then MRI's (multiple). Nothing showed up, but I was in incredible agony!! The doctor prescribed narcotics- no good! Ordered massage therapy- OK that helped- a lot, and for a day and a half I could at least bend over to sit in a chair- otherwise I had to lie on the couch, or the recliner with a pillow under my back. I couldn't sleep- I was in too much pain. Of course, since none of the test showed any positive results, the doctors were at a loss- so when I was started on skeletal relaxants, then muscle relaxants, then medication to control nerve pain, as well as more narcotics. None of which helped in any way, but caused me to develop panic attacks & claustrophobia. I developed kyphosis, and then lordosis, bladder spasms, and colon spasms. I walked with a shuffle, my left leg in such a spasm that it caused my left foot to turn under. I started to have a sort of "sideways" gait. At that point, the doctor decided I should have injections in my sacroiliac joints- no help!! Then it was needles & electrical stimuli applied to my legs to test for permanent nerve damage due to the long length of time I had been in spasm. The doctors told me I would never work as a nurse again, I would have to accept the fact that floor nursing would be a thing of the past, and if I ever was able to work again, it would have to be a desk job, and I would always be on medication, always in pain! I sat in the doctor's office & cried like a baby- I loved being a nure, how could I ever live as an invalid like that? As a last resort, my doctor suggested acupuncture, or a chiropractor/kinesiologist. Since I would much rather have the problem "fixed", as opposed to "interpreted differently", I chose to try the latter. I believe my first visit to Dr. Leveen was in June 2004- that's 7 long months spent in a sea of pain & agony!! On my first visit, Dr. Leveen x-rayed my back and determined that my sacrum had "torqued" into my right hip and all the connecting muscles had gone into a spasm, causing my sacrum to twist, and then send all the muscles of the opposite hip into spasm too. She put me in blocks & manipulated my hips and sacrum, and for the first time in 7 months, the pain moved. It didn't leave immediately, but it moved! And, every visit after that, it moved a little more, until if finally moved out! This took months of blocking , twisting, manipulating, massaging, and some of the most incredibly painful trigger point release therapy I've ever had. But, I am off all medication. I feel absolutely wonderful, and I am back to work full-time as a floor nurse. I can't thank Dr. Leveen enough! She truly gave me back my life! When everybody else gave up, she didn't, and I knew I could call her anytime I needed, and she would make a way to help me out. I also began to take the supplements she recommended and have been the healthiest I have been in years! I'm 61 yrs old, and I can run rings around a lot of these younger folks. I work a 40hr week on the night shift, come home & take a 2ml hike with my husband, then a few laps around the pool. DO i HAVE MY LIFE BACK, OR WHAT??? Thanks you Dr. Leveen, for your caring heart & gentle nature (not to mention your fantastic professional expertise). I feared going to a chiropractor, but I'm so very glad I came to you.

I had fallen and broke my shoulder and Dr. Leveen worked wonders with me after the bone healed. Now I can move my hand and shoulder. I was very worried about having long term problems and can't thank her enough for giving me back the use of my arm.
